Citation Guide
There are many ways to get guidance and support when doing research to ensure that you are citing your sources correctly: your teacher may give you some guidelines, you can consult an online citation site (ex. EasyBib), you can refer to your agenda (page R-5) or you can refer to this MLA Citation Guide. Unless your teacher has specifically asked for a different format, most middle school classes use MLA (Modern Language Association).
Databases at CMS
Databases are edited, vetted, organized and reliable digital resources for research. Databases can be accessed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from any computer with Internet access. Their credible information also comes with ready-to-use citations. Try Britannica School with links on this page.
When accessing a database from outside school you will need passwords. These are on display in our library and stickers are available for your agendas so...what are you waiting for?
