Mission Statement

Cleveland Counselors provide a comprehensive developmental program based on the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. We foster a notion of respect, support, trust, and community among all students; through advocacy and collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community. The counseling program promotes academic and life-long success through continued educational support and social/emotional growth.

Our Vision

Cleveland Middle School is fortunate to have two full-time counselors on staff who offer a variety of services to the students, staff, and community.  Our licensed counselors are trained to assist students with personal, social and academic issues, as well as assist them in developing college, career, and vocational readiness skills.  

Our vision is for all students to graduate with the skills necessary for them to make self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions, accept personal responsibility for their actions, believe in their abilities, and live up to their dreams.

Student's disclosure in the counseling office is confidential and private information unless a student reports:

1.  Harm to self

2.  Harm to others

3.  Student is being harmed or neglected by someone else

Virtual Confidentiality

1. We cannot guarantee that our virtual conversations are confidential due to the nature of technology.

2. We will not share our conversations with others.

Exceptions: If you disclose any, self-harm, harm to others, or harm or neglect towards you.

3. It is most secure to set a google meet or provide us with a phone number to contact you instead of emailing.
